The Toughest Man Alive
In other news, our weather is all out goofy. I rode home today, taking the long way again, in 37 degrees and rain!!! RAIN I said. Just last week I rode in 15 below weather. I've said this many times before, but I like to ride in the rain. Oops, let me clarify that statement...I don't mind commuting in the rain. I actually enjoy it. I, however, would not want to be riding the AH135 in the rain at this moment. That would be miserable and near possible to keep warm in. I feel for all those dog sledders out there right now in the middle of the John Beargrease Sled Dog Marathon. They will still be at it when the temperature nose dives starting tomorrow morning. Overnight tomorrow, the temps could be as much as 60 degrees colder, 80 degrees including the windchill. It's going to be bad for the teams. They aren't expected to finish until Wednesday. Yikes!!

That man is seriously hard core. My challenge for the year? Simple....ride more. Mainly, commute as much as possible via my bicycle. After 8 years of not riding much, I've finally started getting into a groove. Although the Denver, CO area does not pose quite the frigid temps you see up there, the last three weeks of riding into work (I ride in at 8pm) have given sub zero wind chill's with only one ride home being above 30 degrees. Warm in your book :) I've logged 55 miles this month with riding in about 50% of my shift. Tomorrow night will be the first shift I've ridden in every day. Fingers crossed.
I am really looking forward to your trip report on the 135. Good luck!
