MnBicycleCommuter
I bicycle all year in Duluth, Minnesota, USA. I commute by bicycle, I ride an Xtracycle for errands, a Surly Pugsley for snowbike rides and winter ultras, a Surly Long Haul Trucker for overnight camping and touring, and a custom hand-made lugged Ellis for pleasure rides in the country.

Should be a nice ride in the morning, here's to hoping for no frozen free hubs!
Great pic, Doug!
Beautiful! I guess this makes starting your commute at the coldest time of day a little easier.

Frozen freehub...been there. Made for an interesting commute;-)
Can't say I miss sub-zero weather, though I'm sure I'd re-acclimate.
Lovely picture Doug -:)
NICE pic :) I mis the days I was (physically) able to do cold rides (because of the cold,I mean)...sigh Cool beans I get to read about others rides in it though :)

Fantastic photo and sunrise!
Yes, nice picture. How long is your ride to work?
@Micheal Blue
Between 6.5 - 8.0 miles depending on which way I go in the morning. I often take a longer way home. So far this year I've been averaging 20 miles a day.
Can't see a shot like that too many times. Wonderful thing to see!
Amazing! Commuting most of the week by bike as well here in Germany. -7 degrees Celsius was the lowest this year... and never ever I had such a BEAUTIFUL sky whilst riding. Enjoyes your pic and I do enjoy your blog.
Kind regards from Cologne, Tom
1/2 inch your biggest snow? (or is it 1-2 inches?) We had about four inches here during the week. 'Course it only lasted half a day since it got up to 52F/11C by afternoon.
Doug, come out to Portland for winter biking! ;-)
