Is this what winter is like in warmer climates?

Today's sunrise and......
......sunset. (The above color appeared for less than three minutes. Almost didn't capture it.)
Another day with temps completely above freezing...morning and afternoon. Wow, completely unbelievable for January in the Upper Midwest. More than 20 degrees above average. It feels like April with a hint of Spring in the air. I rode with out face or ear protection and fewer layers over most parts of my body. The ride in was 4-5 mph faster because I could breath freely and none of my hub or BB bearing grease was freezing up.
I have to say it was very pleasant. But man do I miss winter! I love winter and live in this place, on purpose, with very harsh winters for that very reason. Oh but I long for an 18 inch base of snow, my Pugsley below me, 15F/-9C degrees, light winds, blue sky, and sunshine. Oh, that would be heaven!

In the 50s two days ago. No snow on the ground. We are in a serious drought which is going to be brutal on the farmers next Spring.
I keep reminding myself that it is only two weeks into winter, and eventually the snow will come.
None the less...The Pugsley and I are heading to the woods.
On the bright side...It sure has been nice to ride. I'm sorry I missed most of December.
I took all my vacation time this winter for cross-country skiing and Pugsleying, but the snow is a no show. I'm still enjoying this though after cycling through many brutal winters :-)
Great sunset sky photo. Thanks. Amazingly, over 2000 miles to your east here in NH we had a similarly beautiful pink/red sky Friday evening which was out for fleeting few minutes. I was glad to have seen it. And enjoyed your photo too. Thanks
We've been having insanely warm weather too and like you, I'm enjoying it but really kind of wanting real winter weather. I love snow!
