Mountain Biking my favorite Pugsley Snow Route

Jeff doing the hike-a-bike
Jeff gave me a call today. He said he needed to get out on ride. Was I interested? Heck yeah, I was just about to get ready and was needing a little extra motivation.I was thinking we were going to do a road ride. When Jeff showed up at my house with his newish mountain bike, I decided to switch to my Pugsley and suggest a trail ride. Since I don't do any summer off-road riding or own a regular mountain bike, I suggested we try my favorite 20 mile snow route loop. I was hesitant because with the lack of snow it is very icy.

Wednesday's half inch snowfall ended up being just enough snow covering for a small amount of traction on top of all that ice.

Bardon's Peak
We headed out to Bardon's Peak and stopped for a picture taking break there.

I climbed up to the top of the little rocky knob and did my best Rocky Balboa.

West Skyline Parkway
It was great to get out with someone since I ride alone so much of the time. Jeff enjoyed seeing some trails that were new to him. He lives across town and doesn't get an opportunity to ride out west of town very often.

Share the joy.
